摘　　要：首先介绍了网络 3维虚拟现实的发展现状和一般实现方法 ,结合数码城市GIS软件的研发 ,提出了基于Web的 3D城市模型浏览器插件的 3层浏览器 /服务器体系结构 ,然后重点介绍了采用Java和Java 3D实现客户端 3维数据在线操作与动态显示和服务器端一体化数据库管理功能的实现方法。该插件能用于Internet上发布 3维城市信息 ,实现 3维空间信息的数据共享 ,并提供给用户一个逼真的、实时的、可交互的虚拟 3维城市。最后给出了一个实验例子和几点结论。The increasing use of World Wide Web (WWW) has brought about a lot of Internet-based applications. The broad band internet makes it possible to implement Web-based three dimensional GIS using 3D graphic languages such as OpenGL, Java 3D and Virtual Reality Modeling Language(VRML). Applets and Java 3D can generate a dynamic, real-time, interactive, distributed three dimensional space inside the Internet Web. Recently, based on the Java and Java 3D a Web-based browser of CCGIS was constructed. CCGIS is the trademark of CyberCity GIS software made by our lab. Firstly,this paper reviews the implementation of the Web-based 3D GIS. Secondly, the construction of the 3D geo-referenced virtual scene using Java 3D and the implementation of the Web-based browser of CCGIS on the client side are presented . Due to the large data involved in Web-based 3D GIS and the real-time response of interaction on the Internet, it is a critical issue to organize,manage and transfer data through the server. This paper also introduces the design of the data server of CCGIS 3D city models. Finally,a few case studies are illustrated.
