摘　　要：纂修方志是我国史学的优良传统。元明清三代中央有修志机构一统志馆 ,明清地方各级省有“志馆”或“志局”,县有“志科”。Compiling chorography is an excellent tradition of China historiography. Yi-tong-zhi-guan, the special institution beloging to the central government of Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasty, with the counterpart in local governments, is responsible to compose chrography. This paper interds to discuss the function and achievement of the Yi-tong-zhi-guan in editing general and local chorographies.
