摘　　要：通过回顾计算机 CPU技术的发展 ,微软新视窗 XP系统的应用 ,Internet宽带上网以及 Pentium 4+DDR内存 +845 D芯片组的 PC时尚 ;展望未来 ,二十年内 PC功能或许将追上人脑。最后指出 ,当前计算机教育要“与时俱进”。In this paper, we review the technologies for the computer central processing unit(CPU), Microsoft new Windows XP applications, wideband Internet access, and doble data rate(DDR) memory. Based on these observations, we conclude that Pentium 4 processors are the market trend for personal computers(PC) with a prospect of similar computing power and functions of the human brain in twenty years. At the end of the paper it is pointed out that the teaching of computer sciences should keep in pace with the development of computer.
