摘　　要：能否支持网络向下一代网络(NGN)的平滑演进是关系到软交换网络成功与否的重要因素。软交换网络的分层功能结构、开放式业务架构和标准化的接口协议为网络的平滑演进提供了可行的技术基础,分阶段演进则是业界普遍采用的网络推进策略。在分析一般演进策略的基础上,介绍了C4和C5软交换系统的概念,提出了4阶段网络演进方案:阶段1为综合业务接入、阶段2为长途语音网络分组化、阶段3为本地网络分组化、阶段4为全网分组化,并简要叙述了设备演进的基本思路。Smooth evolution to NGN is the important factor related to the success of softswitch network.The lay-ered functional architecture,open ser-vice structure and standardized interface protocol of softswitch network provide the technical basis for the smooth net-work evolution,while phased evolution is the popular network evolution strat-egy widely adopted in the industry.Based on the analysis of the general evo-lution strategy,the concepts of C4and C5softswitch system are introduced.A four-phased network evolution scheme is proposed and the basic principles for equipment evolution are briefly de-scribed.
