摘  要:综述了晶须的发展、基本特征、制备和生长机理、性能和测试方法及作为金属基、陶瓷基和高分子基复合材料的增强体的应用。Whisker is a filamentary single crystal of near uniform cross section having a high degree of internal and external structural perfection, with a length to diameter ratio of at least 10 and commonly up to 1000 and beyond. The strengths of whiskers are an order of magnitude greater than those of the bulk materials, so high, in fact, that they are close to their theoretical limits. They are not only strengthening and toughening agents in advanced composites, but also pay the special properties to materials such as ferroelectric behavior, magnetic properties etc. In this paper, the developments, the characteristics, prepare methods, growth mechanism, the properties, testing and the applications in metal, ceramic and polymer matrix are reviewed in details.
