摘　　要：CML是XML语言的一个应用,主要用来表示包含化学信息的各种文档。本文简要介绍了CML的基本概念和应用背景,以及CML的发展与应用情况,并给出了一个示例说明CML的构成,并简要分析了文档中各元素所代表的意义。CML (Chemical Markup Language) is a new approach to managing molecularinformation. It is new in bringing the power of XML to the management of chemical information. This article introduces the primary concept, the development and application of CML. There isalso an example of CML, which is used to explain the structure of CML. Then we explain eachelement' s meaning in the document.
