In order to explore the effect of NXIIts on vocal control, and to prove the lateral and sexual differences of vocalization in songbirds, this study recorded the sounds of normal and after section of NXIIts in adult White- lumped Munia. The software, Cool Edit Pro and Wavesurfer, were used to compare and analyze the acoustic pa- rameters before and after section of unilateral and bilateral syrinx nerve. The results showed that the NXIIts have unilateral control to syrinx muscle, section of left syrinx nerve lead to severely sound damaged , but section of right syrinx nerve have little effect, showed the left dominance in neural innevation. Both sides of NXIhs coordinated and are independent each other, and the control of left NXIIts was stronger than that of the right NXIIt. The left syrinx nerve control the frequency, and the right syrinx nerve produces higher entropy, to keep sound stability and FM consistency. Left syrinx nerve can produce high volume and long syllables in males, and the volume and syllable duration on both sides can be adjusted independently in females. Bilateral section of NXIIts significantly affects vol- ume, tone and timbre.
