摘 要:前言 在过去的数十年中,中西青铜器制作工艺研究均取得了丰富的成果。中国青铜器制作自二里头时期就形成了组合块范铸造的工艺传统,与西方古代以失蜡铸造为主的工艺传统明显有别。This paper presents the technical examination results of the repairing technique used on the painted bronze waterfowls unearthed from the burial pit K0007 in the precinct of Emperor Qinshihuang' s Mausoleum. The results show that, for repairing a casting flaw, the metal surrounding the casting flaw were first cut out to form a square or rectangular recess with a slight undercut sides, then a piece of prepared bronze patch was fit into it. The patches are shown to be of copper- tin binary alloy and were shaped by casting or hammering. Such a repairing technique has not been seen on pre-Qin bronzes so far, while it was frequently found on the Egyptian and Greek bronze statues dated to the 5th-6th centuries BC. Therefore, the use of patch-repairing technique on the painted bronze waterfowls is important not only for understanding their casting technology, trot also for exploring culttwal interaction between China and the West during the Qin and pre-Qin periods.
