摘　　要：文章从诊断理论必须指导临床辨证论治的要求出发,对现行的表证概念进行了系统剖析,指出了其中存在的种种误区,提出了可以贯通寒温杂病的表证界定及具体内涵,并对由此而涉及的相关问题进行了解疑。The practice of diagnosis and treatment based on an overall analysis of exterior syndromes in TCM must be guided by clinical theories of consultation. Staying fast to this principle, this article makes a systematic observation on existed dei nitions of exterior syndromes to discover misunderstandings over exterior syndromes. The article puts forward a dei nition of exterior syndromes that is applicable to all diseases including cold pathogenic diseases, exogenous epidemic febrile diseases and other miscellaneous diseases. The article elaborates on the dei nition to discuss the deeper meaning of the dei nition and answers related questions.
