摘　　要：Town House是欧洲在城市化进程中发展出的重要住宅类型,在节约用地的同时兼有独立式住宅的优点。本文探讨了Town House的起源和历史沿革,及其在日本和中国的传播与推广。希望能澄清概念,为Town House在我国的发展提供参考。Town Houses formed the mostimportant residential building type in the Europe'surbanization process. These buildings save thelands in the cities while have the sameadvantages as the single houses. This articleexplores Town Houses' origins and developments,also introduces their spread and popularizationin China and Japan. It is hoped that this studycan explain some concepts and provide somereference for the developments of Town Housesin China.
