To ascertain the impacts of elevated CO2 concentration on tall fescue physiological and spec- tral characteristics, and explore the linkages between physiological characteristics and spectral characteris- tics, comparison method and correlation analysis were used to study physiological and spectral changes un- der different moisture conditions (sufficient soil water supply, mild drought stress and severe drought stress) and different CO2 concentrations 390μmol/mol and 700μmol/mol) in a pot controlled trail, corre- lation analysis between spectral characteristic parameters and physiological parameters of tall rescue were also conducted. The results showed that (1)elevated CO2 concentration may weaken the effects of drought stress on net photosynthetic rate, chlorophyll content, and leaf water content of tall rescue, and enhance its drought resistance; (2)spectral fluctuation of the spectral reflectance curves were increased and the phe- nomenon of red edge blue shift caused by drought stress was inhibited when CO2 concentration was elevat- ed; (3)there were significant correlation between physiological characteristics and spectral characteristics of tall fescue.
