Objective To explore the sleep quality and the influential factors among submarine crew in naval force. Methods 134 sub- mariners were evaluated with Pittsburgh Sleep Qulity Index (PSQI),Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10),Eysenck's Personality Questionaire (EPQ), Simple Coping Style Qustionaire (SCSQ), Self-esteem Scale (SES), Life Event Scale (LES), Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS), and Short Form 36 Health Survey Questionaire(SF-36).Results (1)The scores of PSQI were(4.88 + 3.12)with sleep disorders accounting for 19.4% in the submariners. (2) There were significantly negative correlations between the total scores of PSQI and the majority component scores of SF-36 (P 〈 0.01) ; The total scores of PSQI were positively related to EPQ-P, EPQ-N, PSS,NC,negative life events, and work problems(P〈0.05, P〈0.01), and negatively related to EPQ-L and SES(P〈0.01).(3)Logistic regression analysis showed that PSQI was af- fected considerably by EPQ-P, EPQ-N, Mental Health(MH), work problems, and body pain. Conclusion It is important to cultivate perfect personality, improve health status, and reduce stress pressure so as to improve the sleep quality of the submariners.
