摘　　要：南非是非洲图书馆事业较发达的国家之一,政府将公共图书馆事业作为文化与教育事业的重要组成部分,在立法与财政上给予大力的支持。论文介绍了南非国家图书馆与公共图书馆的发展现状,并对南非公共图书馆当前发展的特点进行了归纳与总结。South Africa is one of the most developed countries of librarianship in Africa. Its government takes the librarianship as the important part of cultural and educational undertaking, and gives the librarianship full legislative and financial support. This paper introduces the development status of the National Library and public libraries of South Africa, and concludes the characteristics of their current development.
