摘　　要：高校名称体现着高等学校的办学理念,关系着高校给予社会的第一印象;同时,也是学校的无形资产,具有巨大的人文价值、社会价值和经济价值。中国大陆高校名称的缩略涉及文化、心理、社会、习惯诸因素,其方式大体分为18类。The names of colleges and universities are the embodiment of higher educational philosophy, which are of importance because it is the names that give the society the fist impression. At the same time, the name of a school is an intangible assets, with great humanistic, social and economic value. The abbreviation of the colleges＇ and universities＇ name involves many factors such as cultural, psychological, social, and customary factors, which could be divided into 18 categories.
