Objective To analyze the relationship of bone mineral density and bone metabolism in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods 30 cases patients with type 2 diabetes were selected in our hospital from February 2012 to April 2013 as the observation group, and also selected 30 healthy volunteers during this period as the control group. The bone mineral density and the bone metabolism of the two groups were measured, and the data were analyzed according to gender, age for all patients. Results (I) BMD: lumbar spine and femur BMD Ward and values of female with Type 2 diabetes patients in the 40-60 years old were close to the control group, but the 50-year-old group and the over 70 age group, BMD was significantly lower than the control group, with statistical significance (P〈0.05); (2) bone metabolism : the BGP and DPD levels of observation group were (6.73±3.54) μg/L and (7.59±4.81) nmol/mmol, which were significantly higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P〈0.01). Conclusion Type 2 diabetes patients decreased bone formation increased bone resorption, which is significantly higher bone mineral density loss condition, the incidence of osteoporosis is significantly higher, and with the increasing age, the incidence of osteoporosis also increases.
