摘　　要："材料科学与工程"学科是一门很有思想的学科。本文以宁夏大学机械工程学院为例,从科研、社会服务两方面叙述和研究了如何培养师生的"材料科学与工程"的思想。Materials Science and Engineering was a very thoughtful discipline. Taking Mechanical Engineering College of Ningxia University as an example,the relationship between mechanical engineering and materials science and engineering disciplines were analyzed. How to train and research materials science and engineering conception in the mechanical specialty was described from the aspect of personnel training and teaching.
