摘  要:近期,新型禽流感H7N9出现,为了防止类似SARS的蔓延,势必需要寻找一种药物或抵抗外来病毒,或提高自身免疫力。金丝桃素可以兼顾两者,同时具有其它良好性能。作为贯叶连翘(Hypericum perforatum L.)中最具生物活性的物质,金丝桃素(Hypericin)越来越受到人们的关注。它是二蒽酮类化合物,具有抗抑郁、抗病毒、抗肿瘤、抗炎和提高免疫力等多种作用和良好的光动力活性。文章结合近年来的文献对金丝桃素在生物学方面的应用进行综述,为更加深入的研究提供依据。Hypericin,an aromatic polycyclic anthrone, a secondary metabolite and pigment extracted from St. Johns Wort (Hypericum peforatum) and related species, has been extensively studied. It exhibited a wide variety of biological and pharmacological activities. These biological applications include broad spectrum antidepression, antimicrobius activity, antivirus, antitumor, antimicrobial, and antioxidant activity. Hypericin's action as antidepressant is mainly owing its capacity of crossing the blood brain barrier. Labora- tory investigations and in vivo studies also showed that hypericin possessed extremely high toxicity towards certain virus and the low, non-toxic doses of hypericin significantly could inhibit the replication of HIV, influenza A, cytomegalovirus (CMV) , Herpes simplex I and 2 (HSV-1 and HSV-2) ,and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) et al. Thus,Hyperiein and related compounds comprise a new class of potential anti-HIV drugs;although not confirmed yet, it has already been one of the most promising anti-HIV molecules currently under investigation. Even so, however,it should be noted that the levels of hypericin found in most commercially available extracts of St. Johns Wort, generally are not sufficient to be therapeutically effective against viral infections. In addition, one of the most important properties of Hypericin has been its application in the photodynamic therapy (PDT). The use of PDT as a cancer therapy is particularly attractive because of its selectivity. Meanwhile, under the conditions of irradiation, naphthodianthrones have a strong ability to generate reactive oxygen species such as singlet oxygen, especially for hypericin, one of the most powerful photosensitizers in nature. It explains well that reason why in the past years,there is a continuously growing evidence of the effectiveness of hypericin in PDT on a variety of cell lines in vitro studies.
