摘　　要：品特戏剧中的人物大多出身卑微、地位低下,为了能够占有一方空间,常常和他者展开各种形式的较量。对他们而言,一定的空间既是生存的最低物质保证,更是财富、权力、身份的象征,关乎自我身份与精神世界的建构。品特戏剧中人物之间的空间争夺,不仅是特定时代社会生活的缩影,也是人类本性与命运的象征。Most of the characters in Harold Pinter's plays are of humble birth.In order to occupy certain living space,they always fight against each other in different kinds of ways.For them,a small space is not only the material guarantee of their existence,but also the symbol of wealth,power and identity which is closely related to the construction of their self-identity and spiritual world.The space struggle in Pinter's plays is the epitome of social life in the special period.Through the description of the space struggle,Pinter's plays reveal the nature of human beings and indicate their gloomy future as well.
