摘　　要：本文以格莱斯会话含义理论为框架,对美国黑人女性小说家托尼·莫里森的代表作之一《宠儿》进行研究,分析小说中各个层面的交流,如:人物、叙述者与读者以及作者与读者互动过程中所产生的会话含义,对该小说主题从语用学视角进行挖掘,旨在探究格莱斯会话含义理论对语篇多层面的解释力。This paper studies Beloved, one of American black female writer Toni Morrison＇ s representative works. The study analyzes multi-level interaction among characters, the narrator and the reader as well as the writer and the reader with an attempt to explore the themes of the novel from the perspective ofpmginatics and to prove the explanatory power of Grice＇s theory of conversational implicature in the multidimensional analysis of a text.
