OBJECTIVE To explore the effect of personalized care on treatment of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infections in children. METHODS A total of 92 children with M. pneumoniae infection who were treated in the hospital from Jan 2010 to Jan 2011 were enrolled in the study and randomly divided into two groups, with 46 cases in each; the control group was treated with conventional therapy, the experimental group was given the personalized care on the basis of the conventional therapy;the curative effect and the incidence of adverse reactions were observed and compared between the two groups, and the statistical analysis was performed with the use of SPSS11. 0 software. RESULTS The effective rate of treatment was 56.52% in the experimental group, 39.13% in the control group; the total effective rate was 91.80% in the experimental group, 71. 74% in the control group, and there were significant differences (P〈0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 6.52% in the experimental group, 32.61% in the control group, and there was significant difference (P〈0.05). CONCLUSION The personalized care for the children with M. pneumoniae infection can effectively raise the total effective rate of treatment and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, and it is worthy to be promoted in the hospital.
