摘　　要：黄世仲是晚清著名的小说家与小说理论家,他善于通过中外小说、古今小说,以及小说与报刊、经史子集的比较等,来阐发其小说观念。其小说观的核心是小说功用观,即如何利用小说,发挥其开通民智的社会功用,但他也很注重小说功用与艺术效果的有机结合。他的小说观,对当时的小说创作与理论探索有积极的指导意义。Huang Shizhong was a famous novelist and literary theorist in the late Qing Dynasty .He was good at explaining his conception of fictions by respectively comparing Chinese and foreign fictions , present and ancient fic-tions, fictions and newspapers , and different Confucian classics .His core view of fictions was a functional one , namely , how to make use of the fiction to enlighten people , but he also paid attention to the organic combination of the function of fictions and their artistic effect .His conception of fiction is of great significance to exploration of the fiction creation and theory .
