摘　　要：英国维多利亚时代女性小说家盖斯凯尔夫人可谓以小说的道德功能警世喻人的佼佼者。因此,将盖斯凯尔夫人的三篇代表作置于文学伦理学批评视域内,以阶级伦理和全民伦理之间的辩证关系为切入点,可以更好地理解盖斯凯尔夫人在创作中不仅再现不同阶级奉行的不同的伦理道德观念,也呼吁社会中的各个阶级摆脱各自的阶级立场带来的影响,在基督教倡导的爱与宽容美德的指引下,通过伦理和解和伦理越位,使整个社会实现从奉行阶级伦理过渡到遵循全民伦理转变的伦理诉求。British Victorian female novelist Mrs. Gaskell is an outstanding writer teaching moral lessons in her novels. Reading Mrs. Gaskell＇s three representative novels in the field of ethical criticism and from the perspective of the dialectical relationship between class ethics and common ethics could facilitate understanding of ethical purpose of her creations. In her creations, she not only displayed different ethic principles followed by different classes, but also demanded different social classes could get rid of the influence of their social position, under the guidance of moral virtues of love and tolerance,through ethical reconciliation and ethical transgression,in order to enable the whole society to transform from following class ethics to following common ethics.
