摘　　要：在伊迪丝·华顿的《纯真年代》里,成功塑造了三个富于个性的人物形象,尤其是塑造了不同于传统价值取向和世俗道德标准的新形象,集中表现了这部作品的魅力。本文通过对解读分析他们的性格和行为所体现出伊迪丝·华顿的女性意识,从中探索华顿对理想社会秩序和女性地位的思考。In Edith Wharton’sThe Age of Innocence, it successfully shapes three characters with strong personalities, especially a new image that is not following the traditional value and moral standard, which is the charm of the book. This paper explores Wharton’s thinking about ideal social order and woman’s social status by analyzing the characters’ personalities and behaviors.
