936C/T、1612G/A、-1154G/A、-2549I/D、-460T/C和405G/C多态性与RCC发病风险无关;对于702C/T多态性,在研究中未发现该位点突变基因;-2578C/A多态性可能增加RCC发病风险。 Objective To evaluate the association between vascular endothelial growth factor( VEGF) gene polymorphism and the risk of renal cell carcinoma( RCC) by using a systematic review and meta-analysis. Methods The relevant published case-control studies until October 2013 were searched in PubMed database. After data extraction and quality assessment, the meta-analysis was performed by using RevMan 5. 2 software. Results Finally 5 case-control studies involving eight polymorphisms published in English was identified from PubMed. The results of meta-analysis indicated that the VEGF 936 C /T,1612 G / A,-1154 G /A,-2549 I /D,-460 T /C and 405 G /C gene polymorphisms were not associated with the risk of RCC.There was no polymorphism in 702 C /T and RCC,while the-2578 C /A gene polymorphism may be associated with the increasing risk of RCC. Conclusion Current evidence indicated that the VEGF-2578 C /A polymorphism might be associated with RCC risk. However, due to the limitation of the present study, further high quality case-control studies are warranted to confirm these findings.
