摘　　要：20世纪80年代,为了缓解美日汽车贸易摩擦,日本开始自主限制对美出口汽车,这一举措对美日双方都产生了深远的影响。它在一定程度了避免了美日汽车贸易摩擦白热化,为美国汽车产业的复苏赢得了时机,同时也促进了日本汽车产业结构的调整。In the 1980 s,in order to alleviate the automobile trade friction,Japan placed voluntary export restraints on automobiles to the United States since 1981. It has had a profound impact in a certain degree to the both sides,which avoided the automobile trade friction white- hot,won the opportunity for the American auto industry＇s recovery. At the same time,it promoted the adjustment of Japanese auto industry structure.
