摘　　要：清代经学昌盛,从义理、考据层面研究《孟子》者众,硕果累累。同时有一批学者打破常规,专门研究《孟子》之辞章,并取得了令人瞩目的成就。牛运震是清代较早倾力于《孟子》辞章学的学者,其《孟子论文》从文法章句、语言修辞、论辩技巧等角度,全面观照、全方位审视《孟子》的文学成就。评点精准,见解独到,影响深远。同时留有重微观点评,轻宏观评述的缺憾。The Qing Dynasty witnessed prosperous studies in ancient classics with fruitful achieve- ments in the study of Mencius in its moral principles and textual aspects. In the meanwhile, a group of scholars broke the routine, specializing in studying the rhetoric of Mencius. Niu Yunzhen is one of the earliest scholars. His Rhetoric of Mencius makes a comprehensive study of Mensius in its grammar, rhetoric, argumentation skills and so on. His comment is accurate and insightful, having far-reaching influence while the defect lies in its stressing microscopic review and neglecting macro commentary.
