摘　　要：《白鹿原》是一部反映中华民族在历史大变革的时代背景下对于民族未来这一重大问题迷茫与反思的史诗性巨著,它以艺术的手法构建了现代中国的国家形象。小说通过对儒家文化"仁义"与"吃人"的再思考以及对儒家文化眷恋与批判的矛盾态度,在对传统文化的反思中书写了民族心灵史。White Deer Plain is an epic masterpiece,reflecting bewilderment and introspection ot nation s tuture under the background of the great historical change, it constructs the national image of modem China by means of artistic expres- sion. With the rethinking of the＂benevolence and justice＂and ＂man - eating＂in confucian culture and the ambivalence over hankering and criticizing the Confucianism, the novel represents the records of national spirit when introspecting the tradi- tional chinese culture.
