Objective In order to evaluate and analyze the diagnostic value of different sequence in MRI for spinal metas- tasis. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed that included 54 cases of spinal metastasis in each sequence signal and the detected number. Results As far as 54 patients with plain scan (including 714 vertebrae) and 16 patients with en- hanced scan (including 190 vertebrae) were concerned. ①There was a statistical significant diffrence ( P〈0.01) in the compairsion of TI WI and T2 WI, T2WI and STIR, T2 WI and enhanced scan respectively in χ^2 test of enumeration data in each sequence involved vertebral number; there was no statistically significant difference ( P〉0.05) in the compairsion of T1WI and enhanced scan, STIR and enhanced scanning respectively in χ^2 test of enumeration data in each sequence in- volved vertebral number;② There was no statistical significant difference (P〉0.05) in the compairsion of the SD, SCR of T2 WI in T test of the measurement data in signal measurement, otherwise there were statistical significant diffrences ( P〈0.01) in that of TlWI STIR and enhanced scan respectively. Conclusion TrWI and STIR sequence are the most val- ueable sequence in plain sequence for diagnosis of spinal metastasis.
