摘　　要：民国时期,南京公共交通与城市人口之间存在着密切的关系。公共交通不仅与城市人口需求相互影响,而且与人口分布紧密关联,同时与人口流动相互促进。由此可见,近代南京城市公共交通体系处于一个不断发展的过程,而且推进了城市化进程的赓续。During the period of the Republic of China, there was close relationship between Nanjing＇ s public transportation and the urban population. Nanjing＇ s public transportation and the demand of urban population influences each other. Meanwhile the public transportation is closely related to the distribution of urban population, they promote each other. Thus it can be seen that the system of modern public transportation in Nanjing had been in a process of constant development, and it promoted the urbanization process greatly.
