塞林格笔下青少年成长的艰难历程

摘　　要：成长小说通过主人公的遭遇和经历折射出青少年思想的形成以及性格变化的心路历程。二战后美国经济急剧发展。但是,伴随着物质文明的高度发达却是人们在精神需求层面的匮乏,尤其是以中学生为代表的青少年一代很难在其成长阶段得到精神上的寄托与满足,于是他们开始变得迷惘、困惑,感到彷徨、苦闷。然而,他们仍然不曾忘记守望着心中那片纯净而又美好的乐土。塞林格《麦田里的守望者》的主人公霍尔顿·考尔菲德的成长历程也正是美国青少年在这种境况下精神层面"成长"的心路历程。By describing the protagonist＇ s frustrations and experiences, initiation story reflects the protagonist＇ s forming of their thought and their spiritual changing in characteristics. After the Second World War, American＇ s economy developed rapidly, but its development was closely accompanied by spirit shortage, which is especially no- tieenble among the young generation represented by the middle school pupils, who were short of spiritual aspiration and satisfaction. They encountered pangs and confusion, thus became lost and felt helpless. But they never forgot the pure and beautiful land in their mind. The protagonist Holden Caulfield in J. D. Salinger＇ s The Catcher in the Rye is just the reflection of the American young generation＇ s process of spiritual changing in such circumstances
