摘　　要：Over the past 36 years since the of the reform and opening, and especially since China＇s accession to the WTO, Wuxi＇s foreign trade has developed by leaps and bounds. The city has ranked among the top ten large and medium-sized cities nationwide in termsof its total import and export volumefor a number of years, making it a major city for foreign trade in reality as well as in name.
