China's New Diplomatic Moves in the Middle East

摘　　要：Hotspot issues in the Middle East are rising and falling and entangled with each other while national, religious and sectional conflicts are continuously intensifying. China has been taking a proactive stand to promote reconciliation and negotiation, playing an increasingly important and constructive role in the Middle East. A new form of on hotspot issues with Chinese characteristics is in shaping.In recent years,China has actively involved in the settlement process of the hot-spot issues in the Middle East and has played a more important constructive role. China's thinking on dealing with the hot-spot issues in the Middle Easthas undergone a gradual shift: from general detachment and doing something within capacity,to active involvement,careful scheme,participation of administration and expansion of influence. During this process,China has set up its goal,policy and mechanism on dealing with the Middle East hot-spot issues,and tentatively formed the Middle-East-hot-spot-issue-diplomacy characteristic of herself. It is necessary requirements of protection of its own interests in the Middle East for China to actively push forward the resolution of the hot-spot issues in the Middle East,which is based on right analyses of internal and international situations,proper positioning of role,important changes in the Middle East situation,and general appeals of the Middle East countries. However,it will remain an evolving process for China to play an active role of a power in the Middle East. China must strengthen hard and soft power to increase her say on the hot-spot issues in the Middle East.
