摘  要:民办高校的创办者是学校的最高决策者,对民办高校具有决定性的影响。随着创办者年龄的逐渐增大,民办高校即将迎来大规模的交接班高潮。民办高校的创办者通常采用两种接班方式:一种是子女接班,另一种是通过公共化的方式选择接班人。子女接班是一种常态,而非子女接班多半是不得已而为之,两种接班方式各有利弊。应该引导民办高校完善内部治理结构,建立现代大学制度,保障民办高校平稳过渡。The founders of non-governmental institutions of higher learning are the decision-makers and have decisive influences on the institutions. Due to relatively old ages of most of the founders, China's non-governmental institutions of higher learning will face large scales of succession. There are two models of succession, one for their children to take over and the other openly choosing successors. Both models have their advantages and disadvantages, though taking over by the children is the normal way and non-children taken over is a last resort. It is necessary to improve the internal governance structure and establish modern university system so as to guarantee the smooth transition of non-governmental institutions of higher learning.
