摘　　要：约尔达内斯是6世纪生活在罗马帝国东部的历史作家,因其所撰《哥特史》重要的史料价值而受到研究者的关注。《哥特史》的写作意图一直以来是研究者讨论的热点。实际上,《哥特史》和约尔达内斯的另一部著作《罗马史》有着密切的联系。在这两部著作中,约尔达内斯通过记述哥特人和罗马人的功业和兴衰,试图呈现出一个动荡不安的尘世,以此来劝诫人们转向虔诚的宗教生活。Jordanes was a 6th-century historian who lived in the Eastern Roman Empire,he arouse scholars＇ attention because of the important historical value of his Getica.The purpose of his writing Getia has been a hot topic of discussion among scholars for a long time.In fact,Jordanes＇ Getica had a close relation to his another work Romana,and the purpose of his historical writing which revealed in these two works was heavily influenced by the condition of his own period.By describing the deeds and the vicissitudes of Goths and Romans,Jordanes intended to render a turbulent and fugacious world to exhort people to turn to devout religious life.
