摘　　要：2000年以来,随着北京成功举办奥运会和中国国际地位的提升,作为中国政治、文化中心的北京被美国主流报刊广泛报道。这些报道既有消极的报道,也有积极的报道,并在一定程度上影响了美国民众对北京形象的认知,进而影响了中国的国家形象和中美关系的发展。本文采用文本分析法、定量分析法和定性分析法,对《基督教科学箴言报》2000年1月1日至2012年12月31日间关于北京的所有报道进行了议题归纳、领域归类、倾向性分析和内容分析,展示了《基督教科学箴言报》中北京的政治、经济、社会和文化等各方面的形象,并提出了有针对性的建议。Since the new century,with Beijing's successful hosting of the Olympic Games and the rise of China's international status,Beijing,as the political , economic and cultural center of China,has been widely reported by the mainstream newspapers of the United States. Some of the reports are positive and some are negative. T hese reports have made an effect on American public's knowledge of China and then impacted China's image and Sino-American relations. T his article analyzes the texts of Christian Science Monitor from 2000 to 2012 using the stylistic analysis method ,quantitative analysis method and qualitative analysis method. T he article analyzes the topics,classification, tendency and contents of the paper showing how Bejing's political,economic,social and cultural images have been portrayed and puts forward some constructive advices.
