摘 要:基于掺镱多组分玻璃光子晶体光纤具有较高的离子掺杂浓度和大的受激发射截面以及宽的发射带宽,同时能够允许更高的泵浦功率密度和工作温度,因此其非常适合于作为高功率光纤激光器的增益材料。通过对采用高温熔融法研制的一种掺镱硅酸盐光子晶体光纤新材料的物理性能及光谱性能进行的测试,其较大的受激发射截面和较长的荧光寿命的特性得以验证。以其作为光子晶体光纤的纤芯,设计出了纤芯为正六边形掺镱光子晶体光纤,并利用有限元理论等模拟软件对设计的光纤结构进行了数值模拟,实验研究和数值模拟结果均表明该材料非常适合作为光子晶体光纤的芯体材料。The ytterbium﹣doped multicomponent glass photonic crystal fiber has relatively high ion doping concentration, large stimulated emission cross﹣sectionand broad emission bandwidth. Meanwhile, it allows high pump power density and operating temperature, thus it is very suitable to be used in the development of high power fiber lasers. Using high﹣temperature melting﹣quenching method, a new ytterbium﹣doped photonic crystal﹣fiber glass material was developed and its physical and spectral characteristics were measured. Test results demonstrate that the newly developed material has large simulated emission cross﹣section and long fluorescent lifetime. Based on the new material, ahexagon﹣shaped ytterbium﹣doped photonic crystal fiber was designed and its physical structure was simulated utilizing finite element simulator (FEM). Both measurement and simulation results prove that the new material developed can be used as the core material of photonic crystal fiber.
