摘　　要：英国经典短篇小说《捡橡果的孩子》讲述了一个在人性受到压抑的社会环境中出生的男孩,由于其身份的特殊(系非婚生子),因而被社会抛弃的悲惨故事。小说中,作者从多个角度出发进行描写和阐释,把自然的自由美好与社会的残酷无情充分展现在读者面前,深刻揭示了社会中人性关怀缺失的真正原因,同时也批判了当时已名存实亡的宗教,表达了自己希望人们去追寻真正有价值和内涵的宗教的愿望。The Acorn Gatherer tells a tragic story,whose protagonist,a boy,was born in a society which represses peopleˊs humanity, and finally was abandoned by the society because of his special identification（ he is a natural child）. In this story,the author exposed deeply the real reason why there was a lack of humanism and criticized the religion which had a mere normal existence at that time through many aspects of the great contrast between nature and human.
