摘　　要：席子佩是清末民初上海报界"四大金刚"之一。作为新闻界的活跃人物,他经营《申报》,开创了中国人自己办报的先河;创办中国图书公司、组建集成图书公司,为整理古籍和弘扬中华文化作出了突出贡献;创办《新申报》,在中国新闻、出版史上留下了浓墨重彩的一笔。At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China,the press in Shanghai had'Four Devarajas',one of whom was Xi Zipei. As an active figure in the modern press,he initiated Shenbao and became the pioneer of the Chinese newspaper. He contributed to the collation of ancient Chinese books and the promotion of Chinese culture by founding China Printing Company and establishing Joint Books Inc. He also founded Xinshenbao and left a thick and heavy mark in the history of Chinese press and publication.
