挑战神经自然主义:从“本体论自杀”反思其价值预设

摘　　要："本体论自杀"指的是因为丧失人生意义而选择不再生活,这种极端行为以突兀的方式凸显了价值论问题:价值、幸福、意义等等在"人"这种存在中究竟扮演怎样的角色?生活本质上是一种本能或者功能,还是一定要有"意义"?意义的追求是否只是一种不佳的演化策略,而没有真正意义?在今天,自然主义的最新代表是以神经自然主义为首的生物学自然主义,它在新技术的支持下强势进入人文领域,试图对这些古老问题提出独特的看法。这种新学必然依据某种价值观,我们认为其价值来源有三种可能:生存、快乐、真理。同时,新自然主义的"自我技术"也不容忽视。这些价值是否自洽,新技术将带给人类怎样的未来,都值得认真考察。By ontological suicide the author means the decision not to live because of the loss of the meaning of life.Extreme cases happened here and now and remind people of some basic philosophical questions dealt already by existentialists. First,which philosophy,materialism or idealism,can best deal with life and death？ Second,death throws light on the problems about＂values. ＂Is value instinct or function or something else？ Is it possible that meaning and qualia are fundamentally（ bad） evolutionary strategies,without inner value？ Today,with the support of powerful technology,new naturalism and neuro-naturalism are surging globally and invading liberal arts,and try to answer these old questions. To examine their value system,which is composed of life,pleasure and truth seeking,and its technical way of carrying out ideals,will not only help deepen our knowledge of philosophy of value,but also look forward to the future of modernity.
