摘 要:元语言是语言交际中一种重要且普遍的话语现象。在TT(教师话语)中,教师会自觉或不自觉地运用到元语言,并在师生交流中通过元语言进行交互调整。从顺应论视角来看,TT中对元语言的选择与顺应是对各种语境关系的顺应。TT中的元语言功能,除了自然语言的一些常规功能外,还具有解码释义、认知模式化以及衔接标识等多种功能。因此,英语教师在TT中应增强元语言意识,充分发挥其在英语课堂教学中的特殊作用。Metalanguage is an important and universal language phenomenon in language communication.In Teacher Talk( TT),teachers will apply metalanguage consciously and unconsciously to interact with students through the adjustment of metalanguage in classroom communication. This paper discusses and interprets the functions,selection and adaptation of mata-language in TT from the perspective of adaptation theory.The selection or adaptation of matalanguage in TT is for adapting to various contextual relations. In addition to the general functions of language,metalanguage in TT can also serve as the functions of code interpretation of target language,cognitive modeling,cohesive marking and other functions. English teachers should enhance their metalinguistic awareness in TT,and make good use of its special role in the English classroom teaching.
