摘  要:20世纪初的美国左翼诗歌,反抗资本主义的剥削与压迫,抒发无产阶级情感,其鲜明的政治倾向性与正在发展中的现代主义诗歌大异其趣。到了30年代,美国左翼诗歌却主动吸纳现代主义诗歌手法,形成"红色现代主义"方兴未艾的局面。这种从排斥到吸纳的姿态转换,促进了美国诗歌跨越意识形态的艺术交流,也促进了20世纪后半叶美国诗歌的发展。In the early 20 th century,American leftist poetry,characteristic of opposing the capitalist exploitation and oppression,expressed the proletarian feelings,and therefore its political attitude was very much different from the emerging modernist poetry.But in the 1930 s,American leftist poetry turned to mo^dernism and actively absorbed its techniques,and thus emerged as a new wave of'Red'modernism.This shift from opposition to assimilation promoted not only the artistic exchange in American poetry,transcending ideology,but also the development of American poetry itself in the second half of the 20 th century.
