摘　　要：This paper aims to offer an optimality-theoretic account of citation tones and tone sandhi in disyllabic sequences in Chengdu Dialect （CD henceforth）. It shows that the constraint ranking ＊[H,hl].T〉〉IDENT-LT〉〉 ＊[H,lh],＊[L,1h]〉〉 IDENT-RT〉〉 ＊[H,hl] is able to account for the tone sandhi phenomena of disyllabic sequences in CD.
