摘　　要：目前,我国钢铁行业处于转型升级关键时期。钢铁企业利用市场倒逼机制加快了淘汰落后产能和提升产品质量的步伐,改扩建需求不断增大。改扩建既是老厂可持续发展的内在需求,也是产业结构调整的外在要求。由于老厂改扩建条件特殊,总平面设计难度大,笔者认为有必要对老厂改扩建总平面设计进行归纳和总结,为类似工程提供参考。At present, China＇s iron and steel industry is in the key period oftransformatinn and upgrading. Iron and steel enterprises use market forcing mechanism to accelerate the elimination of backward production capacity and improve the quality of the products, so reconstruction and extension demand is increasing. Reconstruction and extension is the inner demand for the old plant to achieve sustainable developping also it is the external demand of product＇s structure adjustment. Because the condition of the old plants＇ reconstruction and extension is so special,and the total plane design is so difficult, so the writer believe that it is necessary to summarize the the total plane design for old plant reconstruction and extension, so that provide reference for similar project
