摘　　要：本文主要采用专业理论文献综述研究法,探讨新世纪高校体育的功能。目的在于进一步认识高等院校体育的地位和功能,为高校合理安排体育教育活动提供参考。研究的意义源于很多研究对于中小学教育阶段中的体育和体育教育的功能以及他们的社会地位进行较好的诠释,而高等教育对于体育功能的解释还不是很明确。体育促进社会和谐、增进沟通、增强健康和娱乐的功能是学院和大学体育教育过程中固然存在的。The research has applied critical review of specialized theoretical literature to explore the function of college and university sports in the new century.Aimed at further understanding the status and function of sports, provide reference for reasonable arrangement of physical education activities.The functions of physical education as well as their social role are well -defined in primary and secondary education,but the higher education for the sports function explanation is not clear.
