摘　　要：IBM正面临前所未有的挑战。＂我们有更多工作要做,动作应该更快。＂罗睿兰说的时候语气坚定。 作为IBM公司百年历史上的第一位女性CEO,刚刚过去的2014年第三财季,是罗睿兰上任两年来,遇到的最糟糕的一次财务状况。在IBM三季度财报的整个报表中几乎看不到＂增长＂一词,反而被满眼的＂下降＂所充斥。所有的主要财务数据均同比下降：营收224亿美元,同比下降4%;净利润35亿美元,同比降17%。IBM and its ever first female CEO Ginny Rometty are facing the unprecedented challenges. 'We have loads of work to do,and to do quickly.' Rometty said,determined.The third financial quarter of 2014 just passed and showed the most awful outcome since Rometty's two years in IBM,and also the worst since the first financial quarter of 2009..In this financial statement,there is barely a hint about increasement,but stuffed by decreasement.All main financial statistics went down:revenue was 22.4 billion dollars,which fell 4 percent year-on-year;net income was 3.5 billion dollars,which fell 17 percent year on year.Actually,early in the last year,IBM has strengthened its transformation,and started unloaded low value-added business in succession,such as X86 servers,chips and so on.Instead,they built up new large departments to deal with application-orientated business,like big data,cloud computing,mobile,and social contact.Obviously,they hope to stand closer to the market and the customers.What is more,there is no doubt that cooperation between IBM and SAP is rare in traditional IT market,but in need in this era of cloud.The API economy in China could let more companies in.With more partners,IBM would be able to bring more values to its customers.For IBM or any other business,when they started focusing on helping their customers not competing for interests,their real value would be estimated and proved by the market.
