摘　　要：正值新中国成立65周年之际,中国公共外交协会研究部主任姚遥博士的新著《新中国对外宣传史:建构现代中国的国际话语权》(清华大学出版社,2014年9月)付梓发行。作为中国前外长李肇星和哈佛大学教授约瑟夫·奈的中美联合培养博士,姚遥的关注视野兼而体现了两位导师的不同志趣——一方面,如同李肇星在序言中所谈,该书秉持了"人民万岁,人民至上"的新中国外交理念;另一方面,也特意将约瑟夫·奈的"软实力"理论与新中国实践结合,意在赋予中国软实力以更加丰富的阐释内涵。As of the 65 th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic China, Yao Yao, Ph D, director of the Research Department of China Public Diplomacy Association, published his Foreign Publicity History of New China: Building the International Discourse Rights of a Modern China(Tsinghua University Press, 2014). As a student of China's former foreign minister Li Zhaoxing and of celebrated Harvard professor Joseph Nye, Yao integrates the different viewpoints of his two tutors in his research. On one hand, like the prologue by Li Zhaoxing, the book sticks to New China's diplomatic conception of 'Long Live the Chinese People and Putting People First'; on the other, the book integrates Joseph Nye's soft power theory with China's practice to elaborate on China's soft power in a meaningful way.
