摘　　要：淮夷是周代对居住在淮河流域民族的称呼。其与周政权时战时和。《史记》等文献记载周初成王时曾经征伐过淮夷,而出土的周初金文材料却只有征伐东夷的记载。这一矛盾由汉人的错误认识造成,周初并未征伐过所谓的淮夷。Huaiyi is the name of the nation living in the Huaihe River Basin. And there are both war and peace with Zhou regime at times. It is recorded in 'Shiji'and other documents that Zhou conquests over the Huaiyi,while according to inscriptions of unearthed material in Zhou regime it only conquests D ngyi. This contradiction is caused by the wrong understanding of the Han people,and Zhou never conquers so-called Huaiyi.
