摘　　要：分析了科技查新工作当前面临的信息技术条件现状和知识服务环境,指出了查新工作中存在服务单一性、内容浅表化和管理数量化的问题,提出了重视现代信息技术应用、加强服务模式创新、开展管理方式变革以及强化从业人员素质培养等多途径的查新工作发展方向。The article analyzes current technological situations and knowledge-based service environment of Sci-tech novelty retrieval （STNR）. It points out some problems of the current STNR, especially on the single- ness of the service, the shallowness of the content, and the quantification of the management. In light of the current situations and these problems, the author proposes several areas of improvement： to emphasize the appli- cation of modern information technologies, to strengthen the innovation of various service modes, to start the rev- olution of new management styles, to enhance the quality of the entire service personnels and so on.
