摘　　要：同音异形异义词是一个普遍而有趣的语言现象,且被广泛应用于文学作品、广告等各种体裁的文字中。分析英汉同音异形异义词的应用,并探究其新奇、幽默、生动、讽刺、简洁等修辞功效,旨在帮助读者多视角审视此语言现象,并在英汉语言学习及应用中更大地发挥其积极作用。Homophones are a common and interesting linguistic phenomenon,which are widely used in literature,advertisements,etc. This paper firstly analyzes the applications of homophones,and then explores their rhetorical effects of novelty,humor,vividness,sarcasm,conciseness,etc. to help readers better understand the linguistic phenomenon and play its greater role in the learning and applying English and Chinese languages.
