摘 要:近十几年来,合成生物学研究引起世界各国的广泛重视。似乎合成生物学的发展已经进入到收获期,可以出现莫尔定律那样的爆炸式发展。本文从总结合成生物学发展现状出发,分析合成生物学目前面临的主要科学任务,着重指出合成生物学的应用还有待于相应基础科学研究的突破性发现,而这些发现定会产生于与生命科学交叉的学科边界上。从这个意义上讲,合成生物学属于交叉科学研究而不是简单的生物工程研究。本文最后对国家科技管理部门关于合成生物学研究的顶层设计做出一些建议。In recent years, the research and development of synthetic biology attracts attentions from different countries. It is believed that the development of synthetic biology has reached a "rea- ping" stage, where explosive development in applications will appear, just like electronic engineering in the last century. In this article, we present the real stage of synthetic biology research and the major scientific tasks that synthetic biology faces. We emphasize that the development of synthetic biology depends on the break through of basic sciences, and these break-through will sure appear in the interfaces between life science and other quantitative sciences. In this sense, synthetic biology should be considered as an interdisciplinary science, rather than biological engineering. In the end, a few suggestions are proposed on the top-down design of the synthetic biology research.
